Hi Johnson

What would be your definition of normal people?

If it's a quirk, they need to get it fixed in time for the next election. Was this the first ever time it had been used?

If the electoral college performed within laid down and agreed parameters - that is, it did what was designed for - then moaning about it is simply childish and immature.

No different to the media whinging about Leicester City winning the premier league last term.

Re: Why is populism a bad thing?
It's a quirk of their electoral college system. No presidential candidate has scored as many votes as Clinton without getting elected.

Funny that it's Trump who seems to have more issues with the popular vote than his opponent.

If Trump polled some 2.6M votes less than Clinton over all and STILL got elected, then it's obvious some nefarious activities were at play, no?

Why are the courts, police, and, for that matter, UN election observers all over this?

Trump is doing pretty much what he was elected to do.

Trump has no real programme and people who were taken in by him are mugs.

Re: Why is populism a bad thing?
Willtell, it may have escaped your notice that Trump polled some 2.6M votes less than Clinton over all. That is why people who oppose him are frustrated.

As for his bad press it is simply the media printing verbatim what he says that is making him unpopular with many. Nobody need make anything up about the Donald they simply have to let him have his say and then broadcast it.

It must be really difficult being a Trump apologist.

Oh really?

BRANDED getting unduly excited over the mention of eating an arse I see.

Surely populism is a good description for the hatred of Trump. He gets so much bad press that he has become a hero. When you consider that the losing side wanted Clinton's crooked bitch in preference it makes one wonder...?

Suck it and eat it.

Yeah, yeah, yeah. There is fucking zero content in your posts to suggest that and plenty to suggest the opposite.

No need to suck up to Stomper.

If it helps Surface I would absolutely vote Conservative if I returned because they do own the center and Corbyn is a fucking idiot.

Better get to it.

Serf, whatever you do don't eat it. You've been speaking out of it for years, you'd miss it greatly.

CM - Indeed. I'll leave my arse-hole uneaten then on that evidence.

I left the UK 16 years ago Surface and for various reasons I didn't vote before then either.

I'll let Capitol Man speak for himself. You should try it sometime.
Then you might be able to engage in political debate.

And Capitol Man says he thinks he 'might' be a Tory, 'these days'. By which I presume him to mean he wasn't before. And he shows little evidence of it in his posts.

So I think I'll just leave that arse-hole uneaten thank you very much.

"And i probably am a Tory these days. What I can't stand though is the right being dragged to the extremes of the American right wing seeminly because of the internet.

You can see it in the ideas and language being pedalled here - and it's a fairly new development."

surface

It would appear I'm not alone in detecting a swing to the far right. Perhaps you'd like to tell Capital how he came to this position.

'Better get a knife and fork.
My main evidence for a lurch to the right is admittedly flimsy.'

It is. It appears to consist of 'Surface disagrees with me and gets shitty when I make up my own private meanings for words when challenged in things I have posted'

Other than that, great post, I'm proper crushed.
